It was all joy and ecstasy, when for the fifth year run; Metropolitan Life Insurance Ghana received the coveted Gold Award, for Best Life Insurer – Client Service, at the 15th Ashanti Financial Services Excellence Awards, organized by Top Brass Limited, under the auspices of His Royal Majesty, the Asantehene and the Manhyia Palace.
The well attended event held on Friday, September 21, 2018, at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi City, was under the distinguished Chair of Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, Dean of Students, Kumasi Technical University. Other high profile personalities who graced the ceremony included Nana Okofo Sobin Kan II, the Dompoasehene, who represented His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, and the Ashanti Regional Director of the Controller and Accountant General’s Department, who represented the Hon. Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta.
In all, only four out of the over 23 Life Insurances companies operating in the Ashanti Region, were shortlisted for the Awards. Commenting on the Award, the Managing Director of Metropolitan Life Insurance Ghana, Mr. Tawiah Ben-Ahmed, thanked Manhyia Palace and Top Brass Ghana for the Award and noted that the Award was a testimony to the excellent services the company offered its clients in the Ashanti Region and the whole of Ghana, and aligned with the company’s focus on Client-centricity. Mr. Ben-Ahmed also thanked the Board, Management and Staff of Metropolitan Life Insurance Ghana, particularly, staff in the Ashanti Region headed by Dr. Rafique Daudi, for their hardwork and commitment to excellent client service in promoting the values of Metropolitan worthy of recognition by Manhyia Palace, which by no means, culminated in this award.
Mr. Ben-Ahmed dedicated the Award to the clients of Metropolitan across Ghana, for their loyalty and continuous patronage; emphasizing that ‘what matters to them, matters to the company.’ He also encouraged the insuring public to entrust their Life Insurance needs with Metropolitan Life Insurance Ghana, as the company is committed to continually listen to their needs in order to offer them solutions that enhance their overall lifetime financial wellness. Mr. Ben-Ahmed intimated that the Award truly resonates the six values of Metropolitan Life Insurance Ghana: Accountability, Innovation, Diversity, Excellence, Integrity and Teamwork.
